Webguruz

When we received a mail from HR department that a “Potluck Party” is scheduled on 13.6.18, there was utter confusion in the office. Many people were not sure what a potluck party meant and those who did know were concerned about how they would cook for 45 employees! And then there were those forced bachelors whose wives had gone to their hometown wondering what they would do!

In fact till the eve of the party, what to cook and how much to cook was the hot topic for discussion! Since most of the office crowd is young boys and girls living in PG accommodation, they were at a loss of what they would do for the party. But fortunately, the team leads stepped in and planned out the best course of action for them. Once these things were sorted out, it now created a sense of excitement in one and all. Everyone was waiting for the event, unsure how it would turn out to be because nothing like this had been organized at Webguruz before!

And finally, the D-day arrived! There was an anxious anticipation amidst an enthusiastic discussion of who had brought what!

Soon it was lunchtime and we were hungrier than other days!

The HR department got tables arranged for lunch and everyone came out with their dishes!

Wow! What an exotic spread!

There were veg and non-veg dishes galore!

Those who could cook brought in their choice of dishes and those who couldn’t ordered some great dishes for all of us!

• Saurabh and Rohit outdid themselves by cooking delectable fried rice and Manchurian!
• Varun was not to be left behind! He cooked an exotic egg-curry for all of us!
• Anita proved that she was an Ace in cooking too with delicious pulao and custard!
• Shweta presented well-cooked Matar pulao!
• Manpreet came up with tasty poori channe and seviyan!
• Vinny Ma’am brought us yummy channa chawal!
• Kanika brought nutri-pulao!
• Aarti and Simrat presented awesome raita!

Many of the PG girls brought rotis and paranthas for everyone And there were many more!

Finally, we were provided ice cream by the Development team!

There was so much mouth-watering food on offer that all of us had more than our fill!

But this potluck party was not only about food, it was time for enjoying, de-stressing, and bonding!

Kudos to the HR team of Webguruz for such a mind-blowing idea!

And, a special thanks to Jass Sir for making this event such a grand success by interacting informally with one and all!

We have all thoroughly enjoyed it and discussions have already started regarding what we will do the next time!

The Webguruz team is waiting for the next one!
